I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in the Roseville area and I provide individual, child, family, and couple therapy services to clients of all ages. I have experience working with clients from 3 years old to 78 years old with different racial backgrounds and different religious beliefs. It is important to me to understand who you are and what is important to you (including cultural and religious beliefs) so we can incorporate these areas of your life in our therapy sessions. While I am knowledgeable in mental and emotional health, YOU are the person who is knowledgeable in your own life and I plan for us to come together with our different expertise to be able to help you make the changes you need. My fee is $120 per session, and a session is typically 45-50 minutes long. Your session fee is due at the beginning of each session and you will not be allowed to carry a balance. I accept cash, checks, and credit/debit cards. Currently I do not accept insurance, however I can provide you with a summary of services as well as receipts for services rendered for you to provide to your insurance company. Many insurance companies will reimburse a portion or all of your therapy service costs, however I advise you to call your insurance company to confirm with them ahead of time so you can plan your finances accordingly. I believe in giving back to the community so I do offer pro-bono sessions for clients, however I have limited slots available for these services.
Frequency of Sessions
Sessions can vary in frequency from twice a week to once a month sessions, however for most people the most effective is once a week sessions. Weekly sessions allow us to have enough time to work on skill building and processing emotions to keep the therapeutic process flowing between sessions for optimal self-growth. For clients who are very disciplined, twice monthly sessions can be effective as well; however this will require a lot of work on your part between sessions in the form of homework, introspection, and self-awareness.
